Reviving History
Nestled in Longmont’s historic Westside, a nearly century-old home underwent a heartfelt transformation, blending modern updates with its timeless charm.
Designed by Drew Sorrells of Adue Interiors, the Bowen project thoughtfully preserved the home’s history while updating its functionality. The kitchen was a standout, featuring a mix of new cabinetry and refinished originals that honored its past. The living room, once left unfinished, was reimagined with a custom fireplace surrounded by handmade tile and wood, became a new focal point.
Structural updates supported an open, cohesive layout, while new and restored wood flooring brought warmth and continuity throughout the ground floor. Electrical and plumbing systems were discreetly modernized, and the laundry room received a stylish upgrade with refinished cabinets and a custom wood bench.
As walls were opened, the team uncovered traces of the home’s history, adding layers of meaning to the renovation. The transformation concluded with a celebratory gathering of family and team members—a fitting tribute to a cherished home ready for its next chapter.
